Phil Thomson - Company Dramaturg
An accomplished cultural dramaturge, actor, director and writer Phil has served as Artistic Director of Deckchair Theatre, Malabo Dance Theatre (PNG), WAYTCo and the MRPG and as Company Dramaturge with Bunuba Cultural Enterprises, Yirra Yaakin Nyoongar Theatre, Spare Parts Theatre and WAYTCo. A specialist in crossÂcultural dramaturgy, Phil has helped create original theatre and dance work in remote Australia as well as PNG, India, and Germany. In 2013 he was awarded the Dramaturge Development Initiative to strengthen his crossÂcultural skills in Europe (2013). Recent work includes Jandamarra Returns, Into the Shimmer, Good Little Soldier and Bindjareb Pinjarra.
